DANUBINA is an EU-funded project that aims to combat plastic pollution across the Danube River Basin and the Black Sea through a land-to-river-to-sea approach. By co-developing and testing innovative solutions, including phytoremediation, wastewater treatment technologies and plastic barriers, the project will support the monitoring, prevention and remediation of plastic and microplastic pollution. Through collaboration with public authorities, industry and other stakeholders, DANUBINA will promote effective, scalable and sustainable solutions to reduce plastic pollution and contribute to the EU’s Zero Pollution targets.
